The grapes from which we make wine come from our own vineyards located in Vrbice.

We take care of our vineyards with regard to long-term sustainability and the diversity of animal and plant species in our landscape. We consider it necessary to support the natural functions of the agroecosystem, which are directly or indirectly influenced by agricultural production. We are aware that we have to combine our requirements for the vineyard and at the same time keep the land full of life so that it can serve the next generations to its full potential.

Grapes from Vrbice, barrel maker from Čejkovice, wood from Ždánický les - this is Jakub Zborovský's winery and his belief in his real terroir of 20 km².

We process the grapes using the original methods used by our ancestors. The wine acquires a special taste with an emphasis on its vintage, variety and terroir. During the production of the wine, except for the necessary SO2, no other additives were used which would fundamentally affect the character of the wine.

The gentle procedures in the vineyards and in the cellar create very distinctive wines, which are presented to you in all their naturalness and originality. They do not wait for compliments, only for acceptance. Give them the right care and patience as we do and they will richly reward you.

I was a baby wearing nappies when my parents Sylva and Fana founded the agricultural business SYFANY. My father used to work as a maintenance worker of agricultural machinery in JZD (Unified Agricultural Cooperative) before and by the time the cooperative fell apart they started to farm the family fields. In the beginning they did a lot of greengrocery – cauliflowers, cabbage... later on they started to plant also root vegetable. They were self-sufficient – quality soil, own plants. They did direct sell, later they were selling also to shops. The agriculture gradually expanded to include more land areas. The turning point came when vegetables began to recede due to lack of human labour – the old retired and the young were not attracted by work on fields. We only kept carrots, vineyards were planted and we switched to cereal growing.

Nowadays we farm about 400 hectares of land and 36 hectares of vineyards in almost the same group of people for the last 20 years.
